FO: Chevron Scarf

The Chevron Scarf is finished!

This my favorite scarf ever!

I enjoyed knitting this scarf tremendously. The yarn is wonderful! The colors, the softness – I can’t wait to work with it again.

I never would have thought to put these two colors together. But it was my favorite out of all the finished ones I’d seen out there in blogland. I was unsure about the colors when I was working the first few inches and considered frogging the scarf and starting again with different colors. I’m so glad I didn’t and kept knitting with these colors!

And it even looks good on the wrong side!

Project Specifications:
Pattern: Chevron Scarf from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts, by Joelle Hoverson
Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Mediumweight in Farmhouse and Watermelon Tourmaline, 1 skein each
Needles: US 5 (3.75 mm)
Mods: None

There is a medium-ish amount of yarn left of each color.
I’m thinking about making a pair of toe-up ankle socks with the leftovers. I’ve got some navy Brown Sheep Wildfoote leftovers also, which I’m thinking of using for the toes and heels. I think I should have enough yarn. We’ll see.

So there you are – my favorite scarf ever. I’m thinking about the colors I’ll use for my next one!

Thanks to my sister Priscilla (who just started a great baking blog, A Peek Into Priscilla’s Kitchen) for modeling the scarf.

I can see WHY it is your favorite scarf ever! It is so happy looking, how could you not be happy knitting it and then loving it? The pattern looks fun!

this is so pretty! I’ve always wanted to buy sock yarn, but I’m not so much into knitting socks. I definitely want to make this scarf sometime soon!

your colors and projects are always so cheery and inspiring!

Did you alternate ever other row with your yarn? It’s beautiful and plan on making myself one!
