I haven’t been blogging very much lately, so I have a few things to catch up on.
First, my sister, Priscilla gave me the ‘You Make My Day Award.’
I’ve been enjoying baking quite a bit lately. It’s a good thing, because just about all I was doing in my free time was knitting. That wasn’t a bad thing, but when you wake up in the morning and your left thumb is asleep and a bit painful from so much knitting you need to find a few other things to do in your spare time.

So I baked cookies last night. It was fun, and the peanut butter cookies are absolutely delicious!
Wicked is blocking for the second time (more on that later), and I’ve cast on for two new projects. First, the Waving Lace Socks from Favorite Socks in Socks that Rock Rose Quartz. I’m really enjoying the yarn and pattern.

And, of course, I had to cast on for a sweater.

This is Glee, in Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy. I really like this color. I must admit, though, that I’ll probably cast on for something else, soon – my current projects are on size US 4 needles or smaller, and I’d like to have something on larger needles to work on!
Lastly, about three weeks ago, my sister Priscilla got a new puppy.

He’s a chocolate lab and his name is Lewis (our other dog’s name is Clark). He’s darling and we all love him. He’s developed a love for my knitting, though.

This is some of what he’s done. I’m just glad he hasn’t cut any yarn yet! He took two bags of yarn out from under my bed the other day, got a skein out of one of the bags and left it under my sister’s bed. His other favorite thing is my sister’s pair of Crocs. He hasn’t ruined those yet, either, though – we’ve gotten them away from him in time!
Hope you all have a great weekend and Mother’s Day!

Lewis is so adorable – look at those eyes!
Glee’s looking fab as well – that green is wonderful.
Thanks for the link, Lisa! I am glad I discovered your blog as well. Your knitting is beautiful, and I am *drooling* over those cookies right now!!!
The knitting is looking great as always. Oh, naughty Lewis! Believe it or not, my boys have never destroyed anything of ours. It’s like they know it’s our stuff and they shouldn’t touch it.
I never knew that you and Priscilla were sisters…must have slipped by me. Thanks for all the blog links and I love the color of your new green sweater.
Aw, shucks! Thanks! I love the color you chose for your Glee, and those cookies look delicious. How come I always have the urge to bake when its 95 degrees outside?!
